                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 1992 THROUGH SUNDAY, MAY
                   3, 1992 FOR THE GRAND OPENING OF THE
                   TENNESSEE AQUARIUM UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF
                   THE TENNESSEE AQUARIUM.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverfront Parkway from Chestnut Street to
       South River Street from 9:00 A.M. Thursday, April 30, 1992 to 
9:00
       A.M. Friday, May 1, 1992; the temporary closing of the southbound 

       curblane of the Market Street Bridge from Cherokee Boulevard to
       1st Street from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. each day on Friday and
       Saturday, May 1-2, 1992; the temporary closing of Riverfront
       Parkway between South River Street and the Mabel Street off ramp, 

       Chestnut Street between 4th Street and Riverfront Parkway, 2nd
       Street between Chestnut Street and Market Street, 3rd Street
       between Chestnut Street and Broad Street, the northbound lanes of 

       Broad Street between 4th Street and 3rd Street, Broad Street
       between 3rd Street and 2nd Street, and the southbound ramp from
       the Veterans Bridge to Riverfront Parkway from 9:00 A.M. Friday,
       May 1, 1992 through 10:00 P.M. Sunday, May 3, 1992; and the
       temporary closing of the Market Street Bridge from 9:00 P.M. to
       10:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, 1992 for the grand
       opening of the Tennessee Aquarium under the sponsorship of the
       Tennessee Aquarium provided that the sponsors shall set out and
       pick up all flasher barricades and traffic control signs in
       accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto and 
shall
       provide at all times an access lane for emergency vehicles.
